Been thinking about getting one for a while. Some are too short distance, some are too heavy, and some are not foldable. After been looking around for long time, I saw the Joyor scooter.It shows long distance (up to 40 miles), and weight less than 35lb!!! That totally caught my eyes. Decided to give it a try.So far I had it for about 2 weeks. I am very impressed!! Here are some of my experiences,- Easy to fold up, and fairly compact to fit in the trunk. Even the handlebars can be folded. A lot of other scooters doesn't- Adjustable height handlebars, there is a latch that allows me to extend the handlebar higher or lower. Very helpful!- Smooth riding, with the 10' tires, and front wheel shock, does make a difference. Even when I am riding not on flat surfaces, its still pretty smooth. can't feel much bumps.- One of my favorite thing about this scooter is the speed setting and acceleration. There are total of 3 gears, Gear 1 allow up to 5 miles/hr top speed, Gear 2 up to 10 miles/hr, and Gear 3 up to 15 miles/hr. It is fast!!! I have try to go up to 15 miles/hr couple times, its very fast, I get nervous sometimes. So most of the time I keep in gear 2, but it is good to know that I am able to go up to 15 miles/hr when needed. The acceleration is fast, I can feel the "zoom"!!!- Anti-lock brake system, It actually has a physical brake disk on the rear wheel, the brake is very effective, I am not sure if it is Anti-lock or not, but it does help me to come to a stop effectively.- Lights, there is front LED headlight, and also a brake light in the back. At night time the headlight is bright enough to light up at least 30 to 50 feet in front of the scooter, and the brake light comes up when I use the handbrake lever. Makes me feel much more comfortable when riding at night time.- The battery is super long range. I have fully charged the 1st time when I got it. Now I have ride about total 10 miles, and the battery level still shows about 80 to 90% full. I feel I don't need to charge it for a while.- Control panel, display the current speed, trip distance, travel time, battery level, and etc. Very easy to read.- Don't have any WiFi, or Bluetooth options. It not a huge deal, but it will be nice to have some app that I can monitor my riding info, and keep track of everything. Not a huge deal, but would be nice to have.The unit came with default unit set to Km, not Miles. It took me a while to figure out how to change it. You can get into the factory setting mode by pressing the power + M button, hold it down for about 5 seconds, it will take you to setting mode. P2 is the setting for the Km/Miles. Once at P2, i pressed "M" button, to change the toggle between Km/Miles. Once that was set, everything shows up in miles on my panel. Makes it much easier to read. There are some other settings in there, but I didn't know what they were, so I try not to change them.I noticed that the tires are 10", and actually use one of those air tires, with actual air tube inside. It makes riding it much more comfortable. But also at the same time, there are some maintenance needed. Need to make sure the air pressure in the tires are at 36 PSI. Also need to be careful not to puncture the tires. Might be a lot of work to get it fixed, or replaced.I am pretty happy with my 1st E scooter so far. It can fit easily into my trunk, and handle the long range when I needed. At 195 lbs, I got it to 28 mph with no wind factor. My 135 lb son was able to get it to 33mph. Yes, weight does matter. The scooter was delivered without any speed limiters.- Has front and back elastomeric shock absorbers for a real smooth ride.- It is quiet, almost too quiet. You will need to pay attention to road traffic. They will see you before they hear you.- The 3 speed settings are a big plus. I use speed 1 when on sidewalks with other pedestrians.- The lighting package consists of a front light, a rear light, and 4 deck lights. Great for night riding.A few drawbacks: - The front light is not very bright. I added a handlebar light to be able to see farther in the distance.- The max mileage range on one charge is limited to medium steady speeds on flat surfaces. I’ve had it for 4 months without a problem. I just took it for a ride in the mountains last week without issue. 20mi long trip hitting 41mph at one point. It climbed the steepest hill I’ve ever seen, literally a moto hillclimb, at 18mph. I weigh 195lbs and I’ve had a 60lb dehumidifier on the front rack I made and a 20lb dog in my backpack. I’ve also put 2 backpacks on with 160lbs of floor tile in them and it survived. Other scooters at this price have single motors and can’t climb hills. Also, this has the thumb throttle, which is a must have if you’re going this fast. Trigger throttles are terrible, as you clench up when in danger and actually pull the trigger throttle in more. Not good. This is the only fast scooter I’ve seen with a thumb throttle. If you’re thinking about it, just do it. I’ve spent countless hours looking for the next, fast, cheap scooter; yet none of them compare. Just add some of your own lights/longer kickstand and you’re all set. Be careful, it’s fast. I'd estimate 40 mile range in very hilly conditions. Had some minor issues. 1. when putting together RISE the handlebar tube up so you can fit the handlebar on it. 2. Had to call customer service and they were 24 hours to respond which is great. The wheels are definitely more geared towards street riding -very quiet. Haven't felt comfortable yet off-road. Acceleration feels jumpy but like any set of controls --takes time to acclimate. Very stable at slow speeds. Wide 10 inch rubber air filled tires help with that. I used Flat-Out before riding. Very easy to install it. Has sweet lights in front (low-set) with great cut-outs so you get nice 180 visibility from the sides. From front it's powerful and visible. Slick side lights on both sides and an always on rear light that flashes when brakes are applied. Thumb throttle. Nice! It is very quick! Lean forward when starting and sink your weight back when braking and GEAR UP! While it's very stable and has hydraulic disk brakes - full face helmet and riding gear pants, jacket, gloves, strong comfortable hiking boots or riding boots. To unlock is very easy. To fold again down is very hard. I must use gloves or will injure myself. I manage easier now but all in all it is hard to fold for me. However definitely not a deal breaker. It didn't disappoint, she was able to get a very good handle of this after just 5 minutes. The scooter has 3 speed mode setting which I think is the smartest safety feature that you can have on an electric scooter. Each mode has a max speed that sets a limit on the maximum speed you can reach with that speed mode. For example, mode 1 sets a top speed at 10 mph. That means it won't go faster than 10 mph even if you keep pressing on the accelerator. In order to go faster, you would need to switch to the next higher speed mode. Mode 3 has the fastest speed of a maximum speed of 25 mph. There is also a display of batter status on the speedometer. This scooter also comes with head light and a tiny horn. Assembly was slightly difficult…and I only say that because the locking mechanism for the handle bars would not engage, so the handle bars wouldn’t stay upright, and the included instructions were zero help. I eventually found YouTube videos that show how to adjust the locking assembly. So it locks now, Once it was fully charged (it did take a few hours) I was able to take it for a quick 5 mi ride (it’s been cold), and man this thing has POWER. Now, my experience and scope on scooters is limited. I have a 350w TurboAnt, and a 500w iSinwheel. I’m about 225-230lbs and both of those struggled to move me especially up hills/inclines. But THIS scooter handles my weight with no problem. Even with just one motor engaged it got me up hills with out struggling, and if I engaged 2 motors it would move me up the hills and increase speed!!The display is nice, I cannot comment on direct sunlight since it was cloudy on my rides, but it was easy to read in those conditions.Braking was strong.I did notice a major fluctuation in the battery meter while driving with dual motors engaged and the throttle full engaged. It would drop 2-3 blocks, but when I came off the throttle it would rebound back to the original reading - could be something to keep an eye on.This scooter is significantly heavier than my others, so if you carry yours on public transportation or in stores it may be a chore. (Or maybe I need to workout more)I also read from other reviews that changing the rear tire is impossible without the right tool.
